Currently, there are over 81,000 home-educated children across the UK, representing a 40% increase since 2018. Parents are opting for home-education for various reasons. It provides a more personalised education that can be tailored to their children’s needs and interests, while also affording them greater flexibility with travel and location. Some parents may choose to home educate due to religious or cultural beliefs or philosophical disagreements with traditional school systems. Alternatively, some children may struggle with mainstream school settings, and find home education to be a better fit for their needs.
With such diverse motivations behind home education, it is likely that the number of families choosing alternative education will continue to rise!
The motivation for creating Sunrose Learning Hub is to offer flexibility to families whilst providing the opportunity for children to develop long-lasting friendships similar to those found in mainstream school settings that provides the flexibility to families.
Children are exposed to different cultures and perspectives while fostering new friendships in a setting created for fun, informal yet educational social learning.
Our session guides provide individualised support to each child. We encourage children to think creatively and independently, fostering a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Our staff members at the Hub, known as Guides, hold a full Enhanced DBS’s and are trained teachers, childcare professionals or equivalent within their experience.
Children must be between the ages of 3 and 15 to register for our services. A £50 refundable deposit is required to secure your child’s space. Payments are due on the last day of each month via BACS transfer or invoice link.
