Our sessions are currently in Irlam, Manchester. With sole use of the property, for children to engage in enriching activities, complemented by a spacious garden for outdoor fun. All our staff members, known as Guides, hold a fully enhanced DBS.

At the Sunrose Learning Hub, we offer a unique learning experience as an informal educational setting. We’re not registered as a school, but rather an educational childcare service. Offering a friendly and supportive environment where children can learn and socialise together in addition to their home-education activities.

Our sessions incorporate informal english and maths activities to help children develop their maths, reading and writing skills. However, please note that our sessions are designed to complement and not replace your child’s home-education learning. We prioritise social learning in a supportive and non-competitive environment. We don’t believe in traditional tests or exams but love to incorporate fun group learning quizzes to help children engage in a collaborative learning experience.

The adult-child ratio at Sunrose Learning Hub is carefully maintained at 1 Guide to 10 children, with additional supporting guides at sessions when needed to ensure that each child receives the individual attention and support they need to thrive and get the most out of their session. With a team of experienced guides, parents can trust that their children are in good hands at the Sunrose Learning Hub, all our staff have teaching or childcare experience with fully enhanced DBS’s.

Our approach to learning is unique and exciting. Instead of traditional classes, we offer themed days filled with educational and fun activities. At Sunrose Learning Hub, we believe in learning through play and exploration. Join us for themes like “The Human Body,” “Earth Explorers” “Ocean Discoveries,” “World Wildlife Day,” International Day of Zero Waste’ and many others. Learning can be fun, and we’re thrilled to help your child develop a lifelong love of learning!

As each child is unique, we communicate with parents on an individual basis to ensure that our sessions can meet the needs and requirements of each child. Our experienced guides work closely with families to create bespoke learning and support plans that meet the unique needs of each child. We are committed to ensuring that every child at the Sunrose Learning Hub feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. Our guides are trained in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and regularly update their training to stay current with best practices and approaches.

We provide all the necessary equipment and items required for each session at no additional cost.

We kindly request that children bring their own lunch and snacks to our home-ed sessions as we do not provide meals, however, we do often provide theme-related snacks depending on the topics of the theme. At the Sunrose Learning Hub, we are passionate about celebrating the progress and development of every child! That’s why, at the end of every 8 weeks, we create detailed reports that showcase each child’s unique achievements, milestones, and growth. These reports are designed to give parents and guardians a comprehensive understanding of their child’s progress and provide valuable insights into their strengths and areas for growth.

At Sunrose Learning Hub, we prioritise the safety and well-being of all children in our care. We have safeguarding policies and procedures in place, including thorough background checks for all staff and volunteers, regular training for staff on child protection and safeguarding, and clear reporting mechanisms for any concerns or incidents.
