Introducing Busy Bees & Home Ed Hang Out at Sunrose Hub
We understand the daily juggle home educating can often bring, balancing your children’s learning with your own responsibilities. That’s why we’ve created two new weekly offerings designed to support both parents and children in a safe, creative, and community-focused space.
Busy Bees Creche– Every Monday, 9:15am–12:15pm
For children aged 2–8
Need a few hours to catch up on work without leaving your little one too far away? Our Busy Bees session offers just that. While you work in our onsite study space, your child will enjoy a fun, creche-style experience in the Mini Makers Room just an ear shot away.
We provide:
- A warm, engaging environment with arts, crafts, and play
- Friendly staff who interact and care for your child
- A calm, creative atmosphere just a room away from you
Please note:
Parents must remain onsite in the study room and are responsible for toilet runs and any specific care needs. We do not take full responsibility for the child but offer a safe, supervised space for learning and play.
Home Ed Hang Out – Social sessions for all the family
While younger children enjoy Busy Bees, our main hub will be open for the Home Ed Hang Out — a relaxed social session where families can connect and children can make lasting friendships.
- Open to home-educated children of all ages
- Parents must stay with their children in the hub at all times
- Includes access to our garden, games, and communal spaces
- One guided activity each session for parents and children to enjoy together
This session is designed for families who want to attend regularly and build strong connections through monthly bookings to help children see the same familiar faces week after week with the opportunity to create long lasting friendships.
The Sunrose Garden is fully enclosed and secure, giving children a safe space to explore while staying close to their parents.
For more information or to register your interest, please get in touch with us. We can’t wait to welcome you to Sunrose!
We have forgotten that children are designed by nature to learn through self-directed play and exploration, and so, more and more, we deprive them of freedom to learn.
Peter O. Gray
For a small child there is no division between playing and learning; between the things he or she does ‘just for fun’ and things that are ‘educational.’ The child learns while living and any part of living that is enjoyable is also play.
Penelope Leach
Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul.
